A house fire from a 9 volt battery? That certainly got our attention. It is frightening to consider how such a common household item could cause so much damage. The home in the video below burned to the ground because of a simple thing that the homeowner didn't know. To avoid this from happening: Secure your 9 volt batteries properly, always keep them in their packages, don't carry them in your pocket, and cover the terminals of all loose 9 volt batteries with electrical tape.
